Re: 1974 $2 bank note Prefix - 'BX' no results found

The most common prefixes for modern notes are not listed.
It would take too many resources to list hem all.
As a rule of thumb unlisted modern notes, such as yours, are worth face value.
No dealer would buy them from you nor would any reputable auction house list them.

Yes
A cool keeper if you can afford it but not worth more than face.

Re: Ripples / Waves in Banknotes

Leave them alone!
The waves and ripples were caused by wet ink, are desirable, and a good indicator of "original" notes.
Those early paper notes must have waves and ripples to achieve gem uncirculated grades

Re: 1947 (1947) Obv. New Die Crack

There are literally millions of errors on Canadian coinage, to list them all would require more time and resources than this forum could handle.

PS: Coincidentally, PL coins were struck until 2010, but these are regular circulation strikes.

Re: 1947 (1947) Obv. New Die Crack

I agree, that is not a desireable die crack.
In all denominations there are likely thousands of unlisted die cracks.

Re: Counter Struck Nova Scotia 1/2 Penny

It's not a half penny, it's a half cent, which was worth a little less than half of a halfpenny in 1864. Before WWI cents and half cents circulated alongside pennies and halfpennies. Cents and pennies were two completely different things back then. Cents were 1/100th of a dollar, pennies were 1/240t...

Re: Counter Struck Newfoundland 1/2 Penny

Looks more like a Nova Scotia half cent.
A half cent was worth about 1/4 penny, maybe 1/5 penny.

Re: 1951 Swl pl66

It was issued for collectors.
The mint began producing PL silver dollars for collectors in 1949 and continued to do so 'til 1967.
There was no standard for packaging until 1954.

Can you share some pics please ?

Re: Low Circulation 1970 Canadian Nickel rolls - 20

They are not original rolls from the Mint. In 1970 all coins left the Mint in bags, the Mint did not roll any coins. Some were rolled by individual banks. You can see the name of the bank which rolled your coins. There is absolutely no guarantee that each and every roll contains uncirculated 1970 co...
