Re: Copper Coin Valuation

I have 4 Large Cents that came back from CCCS as MS60 red and they look great to me with lustre and its just rather tough to want to sell such nice looking coins for drab brown prices. The only book I have is the Charlton Coin Guide and it doesn't mention pricing differences between Brown and Red ei...

Copper Coin Valuation

Hello Everyone, I have been trying to purchase and grade Copper Coins, specifically those that would come back with UNC grade with a Red designation. Currently the site here doesn't have any separate price listings for any Red Coppers of any sort which doesn't help. Is there a way to get pricing up ...

Hello Everyone,

I am hoping to prepare this form for CCCS to submit for grading but I am not certain how to fill this out properly.

Does anyone know what to put in here for this form

Re: Copper Coin Grading Red/Brown

Hi Thanks for the response Bill ,

It is unfortunate that the red lustre doesn’t add any extra value, being they are both mintstate then there shouldnt be any wear on these coins anyway.

At least the red/brown and red large cents wont stay on the shelf as long.

Copper Coin Grading Red/Brown

I am a bit confused when it comes to grading and pricing copper coins as I often see graded coins such as as MS64 Brown however if a coin is really MS 62 or higher shouldnt they be red if they are truly Brilliantly Uncirculated ? If MS 62 and higher can really be both then wouldnt there be 2 differr...

1968 Dime Premium

Hello Everyone, Rather confused about the 1968 50% Silver Dime listing on the site, it shows this dime at a higher price than 80% silver dimes when I am assuming it should only be worth about 70 cents per coin in silver value. Were these coins made in limited quantities or is this a price listing ov...

Alloy Recovery Program

It has been several years now since the government has started destroying old coins for their metal value but the nickel coin values have not appeared to increase at all. When are we going to start restoring and pulling these coins out of circulation so this doesnt happen ?? Will these nickel conten...

Re: 1875 Canada Silver 5 cent with hole

Most times I've found a hole coin is because it was in a floorboard/wall and drilled during renovations.

It's quite possible this is another reason for holed coins.

Looks like it has some good detail on it

1932 Nickel

Found this nickel today and find it difficult to determine if it's a near or far 2 it seems I need a second opinion , I'm fairly sure it's a near 2 but I'm never very good at these small differences

Re: 1953 to 1964 Quarters

I have checked the values but people actually pay those premiums for such new circulation silver ? Also I have no clue what actually counts as uncirculated , the only coin here that has no micro scratches is the bottom one. They all appear uncirculated until you zoom in on them. Do grading companies...

1953 to 1964 Quarters

Hello Everyone,

I have been stacking quarters for a while and I have a few young Elizabeth coins that appear to be UNC or almost UNC.

Is there any extra value in these or were they made in such large quantities that these are just melt value coins ?

Re: Silver Dollars

Thanks for the information everyone , I've got quite a few dollars in similar condition and I have just been stacking them for now. Silver is still low and I will continue buying as much as I can , I have been sure not to pay more than $13 per coin
