Re: 2008 - Broke-back Beavers
I am assuming it is a deteriorated die cracking in a weak point, as both coins pictured have near identical raised cracks. I found pictures of similar, usually smaller cracks online so it looks like it was something that started small and grew over time. You can see a bit of metal deformation just a...

Re: 2012 Nickel - Foreign Metal Embedded during strike?
I know its corrosion but the amount of die damage in the immediate area makes wonder how it got there, it doesn't match the standard die pattern so I don't think it is a PMD plating failure. The foreign metal (maybe an iron or copper defect that disrupted the copper layer judging by the green corros...

2012 Nickel - Foreign Metal Embedded during strike?
Lots going on with this one. There is a small chip of foreign metal that could be iron or copper fused into the coin in front the log, some of the contaminant appears to have been throw sideways during the strike and hit the inner rim. On the tip of the log there is a small die chip or accumulation,...

2016 Nickel - Oversized/Flattened bead between DG
Found a 2016 nickel with the bead between the D and G on obverse noticeably larger than the one after the G. Also appears flattened, but not from wear damage.

Re: 2017 Aurora Toonie - large dot-chip on obverse
The bubble looks quite solid and has a smaller dot on the bottom lobe. Its hard to tell in the picture, but there is something going on where the core meets the outer ring in that area as well. Looks like a slight gap and less that ideal fit between the core and ring.

2016 Quarters - Missing, Damaged and Double denticles on reverse
Found a high rate of denticle errors in my 2016 quarters, mostly above the caribou and only on the reverse. Appears that the die was slowly degrading. Any explanations on the radial streaking in the second image? 50006338136_aa4eb88b7a_h.jpg 50006592927_f1d6244568_h.jpg 50005807938_72fdc5d3c3_h.jpg

Re: 1992 PEI Quarter w/ boils on Queen
Yeah my bad, definitely post-mint damage by crazy glue I suspect. I was confused by the pattern of metal loss and how solidly attached the bubbles were. A bit of orange-sol took off some of the contamination, the metal loss must be from a combination of the glue temporarily protecting areas of the c...

1932 Nickel - Die Break on lower I
Dug this out of the family farm, I noticed some extra metal on the lower I but I was also curious if someone familiar with this particular coin could tell me which of the varieties it is at a glance?

1992 PEI Quarter w/ boils on Queen
Found this in my pile the other day and was wondering if anyone has seen a similar error or if it might be some kind of acid damage.
