Re: Canadian One Dollar Bill 1973

Jennifer, Thanks for sharing your banknote pictures. As mentioned both of your notes are very common and will not appreciate in value even though they are no longer being produced. They are worth more to you as a conversation piece or sentimental value. There are exceptions that have rare serial num...

Looks like the edge of a tellers stamp to me.

Re: 1954 wrong cut 100$

My impression from the photos is that this banknote has not been altered. These types of printing errors do happen. Unfortunately the error is not significant enough to command a premium and at the same time it is off centre enough to be distracting and unappealing to a collector. Mary007 you can of...

Re: uncut uncirculated 2 dollar bills

Each of the designations e.g. GUNC 67 refer to grades. The highest grade is the virtually unattainable Gem Uncirculated 70. Every tiny imperfection reduces the grade, and price accordingly. The grades and prices you posted appear to apply to something other than your BBU banknotes. There are some BB...

Re: 1967 $1 with serial number.

There were 10,000,000 note printed with the L/P prefix. They are fairly common.
A note in VF condition is almost worth face value, perhaps a dollar or two more at most.

Re: Alberta Prosperity Certificate

Very cool. August 5th is my anniversary, but I don't think my wife would appreciate it as much as I do.
These are referenced on page 9 of the Charlton catalogue.
Thanks for sharing.

Re: 1954 CANADIAN ONE DOLLAR BILL VALUE?

It is likely the opposite. (Think Costco... )
Selling 1 at a time will likely net you more profit. Whether or not it is worth it depend on your perspective and available time.

Re: 2020 $5 and $10 bundles

In my opinion, not everything needs to be graded by a third party grading company. This really only benefits the TPGs. :P There are certainly exceptions but it is a waste of money for relatively common notes. Most people would be best served by learning to grade themselves. Obviously this takes prac...

I would submit that the Charlton Standard Catalogue to Canadian Government Paper Money is a widely recognized and respected publication.

Re: 1974 $2 Banknote - Low Serial

I can't determine if there are any blemishes. In perfect pristine condition a two-letter prefix note, such as this RD is worth $12-15. No doubt this one carries extra premium because of the low number, although I do not know how much more. Anything else you want to know about the note...or just the ...

My apologies. I missed the insert range BKE 2.475-2.835. That makes much more sense. :) Sorry about that.
My Charlton 2020 book lists $275 for Choice and $310 for Gem. Trending the wrong way unfortunately.

Re: Rotator Radar or Just a Radar?

A radar number is the same read forwards or backwards...like the letters in the word R A D A R. e.g 2334332 or 8760678. A rotator number is the same when the note is right side up or upside down.(Sometimes known as a S W I M S note). For 7 digit numerical serial numbers the middle digit must be a 0 ...

Re: 2003 100$ bills BKE

Hi,
Your $100 BKE notes appear to be a common variety. Book value appears to be about $150, which in reality means you may have a tough time finding a buyer above $120...unless I have overlooked something.
Do you mind if I ask why you chose to have those 15 notes graded?

Hi Vince,
Thanks for sharing. Book value for those F/P notes is $8-10. They are pretty common.
I can't comment on your shinplaster.
