It happens in printing. Possibly the start of a run and the fountains weren’t set properly yet. The opposite of when you have two much ink and you get ink smears. I was going through a stack of $5 bill ink prefix signature changeovers and noticed a few interesting bills missing some design ink under the word "issue 2013" figured I would share unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the full bill.

Was searching my US coins and found this interesting penny. It appears that Lincoln has got himself an eyebrow piercing to me it looks like a portion of the two in the date was broken off the coin previous to this one being struck. What are your thoughts?

Honestly under the microscope it looks like an inverted signature on the wrong side of the bill.

Looks like an ink error. Possibly something to do with the signature? I took the picture with a black piece of construction paper behind it so there is no light going through the bill.

John1000 Thanks, I feel it's worth the $40 gamble to send in. Would be interesting to find out how that kind of mistake is possible. Which of the two grading companies would you suggest or are they basically equal in service?
