Is anyone using an electronic database that is working good for cataloguing and being able to review their coins/bills? I know basic excel would work, but it isn't great for adding photos the way I would like.

It totally looks dipped, but the relief is quite good.
Check the weight - it would be the penny's weight of 3.24 g plus the dipping agent.

If there are some in here that are in high MS, then they may be worth a few extra bucks, but they would have to be uncirculated and in great conditions. Is the coin in a plastic flip? This looks like reflection of the plastic that is often in a flip.

Consider grabbing some cotton gloves for looking at things you think might be rare.

Although you post many photos, they are not of the best quality to have someone provide a good opinion.
You need some photos that are not blurry, but also that are not reflecting too much light back.

It might be too early to know, but perhaps some the the group bank note aficionados do have a suspicion. Like him or not as a new political figure, Mark Carney's name is on a lot of Canadian Currency. There is already the issue of value that is discussed in guides and on forums - some was worth more...

There are probably a bunch of reasons. In the 50's, I am sure putting a $2 away and having it stay protected was a little easier than putting away a $20 bill from the household income for many.
