Could you post the weight to two decimal points. This is important in determining what the cause is.

I don't have a kitchen scale but I will try to find that info.

Hello group! I've been looking for some information about this coin for a while but no luck What I have is a 1963 5 cents coin that is pretty much the same size as a quarter, with proportional engraving. Coin is barely smaller than a 2022 quarter, around 23.5mm vs 23.88. I don't have a caliper to me...
