Triple 8 (888) is "lucky" in many cultures, so someone likely removed the 1 to make it their lucky coin.

I have a 2022 with what I'm assuming is a die chip (photo 1) and another one that is missing (has lightly struck) beads on the edge (photo 2). 1953 Small Date?
Is this a 1953 Small Date? I can't find any examples of the small date and the edging is different than the example of the Large Date in price guide.
