Re: Misprint dime
It seems to have a void going through the coin as a result too - the black area on the front and back seem to be related to missing material through the coin. Some of the value would also be related to the overall condition otherwise. it is hard to tell how much this has been circulated.

Re: 1959 "Frog" on Beaver's Tail
I see your 'frog', but a bit hard to tell what it is from the photo. Does it stand out or is it recessed? From the photo it could be anything including struck through grease to PMD. That it might look frog-like is guaranteed to be accidental.

Re: 2017 Damage or error?
The coin seems aligned correctly if the hands are put in the correct location - for this one the 25 Cents is off to the side. The mark looks like it could have been something that gripped it - a vice of some sort? The coin itself has lots of wear, so it is unlikely that additional value would be add...

oh how sad!
I am not quite sure why anyone would do that to bills...but I guess it does happen.

Definitely not done during the minting process. There are so many things wrong with this coin. Definitely squished and damaged.

I do believe this is more likely... losing the top layer would not be of interest, but adding to it would be!

Re: Small Collection for Sale
You might want to check with your local coin club. You can probably google this, but there is a good bet if you gave a more general location, there are members on here to help. It's hard to tell from photos like this what is present, but there might be someone there that can give you advice, or help...

Re: Super Rare Population 1 / 1935 Canada Silver Dollar ICCS SWL and REAR SWL MS-65
I agree. There would end up being a fair number with that effect and it would not be unusual to have this for both sides. It is more likely that few have actually specifically looked for this on any specific coin. Thus, I think it would be less rare of a coin with such a large mintage (especially gi...

Re: 1969 C on the Canoe
The extra embellishment on the canoe does not seem to be like a typical grease mark, but looks more like a post mint stamp of some sort, or intentional damage. Unless some of the coins are MS, perhaps you managed to just get a few that someone had played with to see if they ever got them back again.

Re: 1996 $2 German Planchet 2 Dollar Toonie *Broken pearls?
I agree. That extra string at the bottom looks very much like someone tried to take an electric pencil to the coin and did not have a steady hand, or found it a harder alloy than they expected.

Re: New Black Ring Toonies
Some banks are letting rolls go, others apparently are not - or at least saying they are not. At the mint you may purchase just 5 coins and they are not listing rolls. Coin dealers already have special wrap and regular bank rolls. The price has jumped substantially for any type of roll very quickly....

New Black Ring Toonies
It is a bit early, but the mint had indicated the $2 coin with the black outter ring commemorating the Queen would be out early in 2023. Has anyone seen them out yet? I am sure if/and when they are out, many will instantly go into pockets and collections, but looking forward to seeing them.

If you can post, you you have permission to post. The bills may have just been missed. If you used the same login information you could just find you post and bring it back to the front. This helps the moderator see them, but us too!

Re: 2 x 2 coin flips
Replace the pocket holder. It is likely that is the problem and not the flips. You may have to replace flips and, to be honest, replacing both might just be your best bet. Cheaper holders could have more contaminants in them, and not be exactly as described. I have also found that these from earlier...

Great job.
It is the wise and expert that sometimes can save someone quite a lot when it comes to coins.
It is too bad that they had to be schooled - they should have people there that know better.
