Why are you saying this is a Mule Coin?
I found many examples of this Dot in Mint Roll Hunting.
You can find a good samples of errors on that coin here:

Re: 1945 nickel - chips - opinions
Agree with Bill. Also Die Chips are not a Variety or an Error. I agree that Die chips and other Die Deteriorations (DD) are not a Variety nor an Error, but this definition is quite philosophic. Some references consider DD as minor error others not. This is an eternel debate. But, in my point of vie...

Re: Thin planchet coins
This kind of error is always unique, in the sens you can't find 2 coins with exactly the same caracteristics. But split or thin planchets are not so rare. With some patience you can find few of them. But for now, we have to confirm that this is a legit error and find the way it was produced. =======...

Re: buying coins/notes online
I got your point karlpc. There's always a risk buying/selling stuff on social media. But if you deal with a long term members, the risk is virtually zero. New members can just start by selling/buying basic stuff, not so expensive to get experiences. Your name will be known by other members with time...

Struck through grease is more frequent.

Re: Thin planchet coins
I didn't take time to read the post you are referring, but it's difficult to compare market price between USA and Canada. For sure the coin presented in this post is higher than 1 $, assuming the coin is legit. But the question is not there. We are just trying to understand what's happened to that c...

Re: Thin planchet coins
Interesting coin :o But with the actual photos quality, it's quite difficult for a good diagnostics. First, we can see that the reverse shows a strong strike. So this is not a split before strike. In such a case, the strike should be weak on both sides. That could be a split after strike. But on the...

Re: Organizing my collection
Most collectors organize their decimal collection by denomination.
It's probably much more easier to track the missing coins or varieties because all catalogs (e.g. charlton, CCN) are organized with that method.

Re: From 1981 onward - Uncirculated Sets
There is lot of confusion between all different surface finish, especially with the proof-like. As mentioned earlier, PL is never used by the MRC. They always use “uncirculated set”. PL is more related to the collectors definition. Early PL sets were struck twice until mid-70s. I don’t know for the ...

Re: Adjustable Platform for coin photography
Thanks for your interest Bruce. I sent you email. For the others, I still have few sets in stock. The price for Canada is now 21$ including shipping. I have added two extra disks to accomodate other canadian diameters that were not included in the first version. Just send me a private message for th...

Re: 2010 Raised flag error and varieties
Something similar happened with the 5 cents 2012 where the K of K.G. has a broken leg.

The only way to produce such error is with a Damaged Hub.

You will find similar discussion here (in french). http://www.numicanada.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=20964 You will see that the Raised flag is not only with the 2010 version. The origin of this variation is more related to the Hub that produced the working dies. A progressive degradation of the ...

Welcome to this Discussion Board Otto.
You're right Victorian Leaves.
For the grade I would say VF-30.
