Re: 1967 Double Die?

I agree with a Machine doubling. If you want to see what a Double Die looks, take a look at this link. Your will see really nice DDO. https://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=363592&SearchTerms=1967,double,date You have to look at the "plit Serif". It's the best clue for DDO or DDR.

Re: 1968 Dollar

I agree with you. I vote for Mechanical Doubling :Chinois:

Traditional Flat field Doubling is usually more related to Proof coin manufacturing where a double strikes techniques is used.

You will find here a similar coin to yours. https://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=269077&SearchTerms=1968,double,die The first conclusion was "Flat Field Doubling", but after quick reading of all posts, the conclusion is not clear. The link will point out to additional reference. I ...

Re: Strange 2$ 2009

Here is an example of a genuine indentation signature coming from the mint.

This one is called: Partial Brockage.

More discussion here (in french).

Re: Strange 2$ 2009

I agree with coinguy.

It's a Post Mint Damage or PMD.

All types of manufacturing errors from Mint are well known and your coin is not part of them.

Re: 1000 Canadian 1958 bank notes

Welcome to CoinsandCanada Avengers. Can you provide more informations about your banknotes? I guess you mean 1954, not 1958. We need to know the signatures name and paper quality. Uncirculated banknotes are more attractive. There's also versions with and without devil's face . If you can provide pic...

Re: 1$ grade and value?

You can get a price idea here. I guess the coin is in Silver. https://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins-prices-collection.php?coin=silver-dollar-1974&p=5&cat=1 It will be difficult to grade this coin through the plastic case. I guess most scratches we see on your pictures are on the case surface. But in ...

Re: What are these errors?

I'm not sure that the partial brockage is there. This is why I want to see a closer look of the error. If there's no pattern within the indented region, the indentation is done by a planchet. In summary: partial indent (done by a planchet) or partial brockage (done by a previously struck coin). Ref:...

Can you provide a closer look of the error?

For sure, this coin is indented either by a planchet or a coin.

Re: 1970 Penny ⁽ᶠᵒʳ ʸᵒᵘʳ ᵗʰᵒᵘᵍʰᵗˢ⁾ (defect)

This is called a "ragged fissure". But many collectors uses also "ragged clip". You can find some information here: https://www.error-ref.com/fissures_-_ragged___smooth/ Recently similar coins have been sold on Ebay with sold prices between about 30 to 80$cnd. You have a nice one. The extended fissu...

Ya, you need to be more specific on your description.
And an obverse picture could help.

Adjustable Platform for coin photography

Here is a tip-tilt platform I recently developed. Nothing very complicated, but it helps a lot for taking pictures of your favorite coin errors. The platform allows to tilt your coin in any angle over +/- 45 degrees . You can now optimize the rendering of the feature you want to highlight. Cost: 16$...
