I've been casually collecting coins for a while but have started to get more purposeful in my collection. One question I have is how do people organize my coins. Right now I have them organized by year. I was wondering if it makes more sense to organize by denomination.

Any thoughts?

Most collectors organize their decimal collection by denomination.

It's probably much more easier to track the missing coins or varieties because all catalogs (e.g. charlton, CCN) are organized with that method.
