Canadian Mint Sealed Coin Bag

I have come across an old Canadian Mint coin bag of 200 / 50 cent pieces. It's still sealed with lead on the tie string. There's a tag number of 503621. Does anyone know anything about these? What year it might be? Should I open it or leave it intact?

I replied to this, but it doesn't show. If you go to the opening page here for Canadian coins and go to "Topics" and click on the thread, it DOES show. The URL for the thread that actually SHOWS the replies is
