Sorry i cannot provide photo as the dime is sealed in an ICCS fold.
My question is this; It is definitely a 22 leaf variety , however the 9 in the date is definitely a 21 leaf variety. Has anyone seen these.I had a second person look at it and they agree.
I will try to get a decent photo to post .

It is impossible to help without a good photo so we can see the detail.
Keep working on your photos.

Re: TEN CENTS 1891
Photo adequate enough.
Sorry but that is a 22 Leave Large 9.
Check the opening on the top of the 9, a small 9 is almost closed, a Large 9 is more open.
Also if you check the serifs on the 1, on the Small 9 they curve towards the body. On a
Large 9, they are square towards the body.
Out of curiosity, what were you using as a reference?

On this site both the 21 leaf and 22 leaf pictures are of the same coin, processed to make them appear different.
Look closely and see for yourself.
