My first question was about a possible variation of the 1882 H obverse 2/obverse 1 DDO.
The coin was identified as an 1882 H c2/c1 with double denticles.
Is c1/c2 = obverse 2/obverse 1.
I AShe attached pic shows what could be 1882/1881.
Is the denticle doubling punch or die doubling?
Is the doubling of ANADA REGINA punch or die doubling?

The double die is on the queen side of coin. The denticle is doubled between the I in Victoria and The a in Canada. You can see it just above the denticles. A c2 has a bumpy looking chin where the c1 is smooth looking I. Plus look at the second last a and last a , they are doubled

You have an 1882 Obverse 2/1, type 2. There were 3 types/varieties of the 2/1's and the type 2 has the denticles doubled from the I in Vicky to the N in Canada. The mint was still using old 1876 Obverse die punches for some of the strikes for finishing the dies, even though the '82 dies were almost ready. The 2/1's were struck with both 1 & 2 die punches, since it takes 2-4 strikes to make a full impression into the die. Because the '81's and '82's needed to have some repunching done to some of the legends, you can almost find doubling somewhere on some of the letters, in addition to some MD strikes. Of the 3 types of 2/1's, the type 2 is the 2nd hardest to find, but the doubling around the clock is much harder to find. A nice coin and a keeper
