Hi:
I found what looks like a 1959 triple G. But the 9 is narrow instead of wide. And the upper serif is doubled, not tripled.
Picture #1 shows the doubled upper serif. Picture #2 shows the tripled lower serif. Picture #3 shows the narrow 9. Picture #4 shows the obverse of the coin.
The upper serif details and the far-right triplet of the lower serif are very difficult to see with 10X magnification. The pictures only show these details because of proper light angle and shadows.
Does anyone have any information or thoughts on this coin?
Ed

Re: 1859 triple G
The attached photo shows tripling of the upper serif. It was sheer luck that the shadows brought out the detail.
The tripling in the photo still does not look like the photo of the triple G seen under variations of the 1859 on this site.
Any comments?

Go to the archives here, as it has been discussed before. You need to go to the Haxby site. Here is the section of the Haxby site that shows the Regina "G" affected, but you have many more markers on your coin to see exactly what it is:
https://www.vickycents.com/om-rp-re-g-ina.html
You need to loof closely for other RP'd letters and/or leaf stems in the heart of the Haxby site.

Re: 1859 triple G
I took a look at the site you recommended.
The coin is the 1a:2E die pair. The G, and the die cracks on the reverse match perfectly.
Thanks Bill.
