Re: Error nickel believed to be rare 1952 please help!!! looking to find a value on something like this
I wouldn't call it "rare" by any means. It looks like the lower part of the Reverse shows that it was struck through grease or something from the photos. Can you show the Obverse to see if the coin was dished/bent, causing that part of the Reverse to be convex and just wore away sooner? I don't think that there is any premium at all. Now, if you are talking about a "missing chrome" example, it's hard to tell from the photos and all of Canada's chrome nickel mintages are very easily removed by someone who knows what they are doing. ICCS has stopped certifying "no chromes" because they are so easy to manipulate.
Now, if your coin is brassy or golden in color, like 2 of your photos, then it's a 1942 Tombac coin, not a 1952, and perfectly normal, again, worth 4 cents US.

Welcome to Coins and Canada
Instead of showing 5 pictures of the reverse, it would help to show at least one of the obverse.
There might be something on there that would make it “rare”.
From what I can see from the reverse, you have a regular 1952 nickel that has been
Struck Through Grease, a minor error.
There were close to 11 million struck so there are plenty of them out there.

These forums are really just FOR newbies to help them along. As I asked above, is your coin silver color or a brassy yellow/orange color and are you sure that it's a 1952?
