1953 nickel

I have a 1953 nickel and everything seems the same as an other 1953 nickel but the date. The 5 is different, i drew a little picture on my paint program to give an example.

left side is a poor drawing of the unusual 5 and on the right is the weird abnormal 5 i noticed. the bottom hook comes up to almost touch the bottom of the L shape in the 5.

Thanks for your help. Not a bad find i think, what a screw up, to have so many different varieties.
