Most "Dots" on coins are the result of small pin head size die chips in the die that expand with use and
form the shape of dots. They are quit common especially since the RCM started plating their dies with
chromium. They add no or little value to the coin and are not considered an error.
The only two with value are the 1936 dot which you will never find and the 1947 dot where the dot
is on the lower left corner of the 7.

I don't see a dot anywhere on your coin. Look at the 1947's on this section of the site. As mentioned above, "dots" are caused by die chips on the die or by small rust pits on the steel. Remember than '47 was just after the war where much of the desirable metals were still in short supply and steel for the dies were making a come-back. Only the "dots" that are put there purposely on the die my the mint raise any value (like the 36 dot)

I can see a small dot before the last A in Canada that is a die chip and as I stated previously,
they are not considered an error or a variety.
