I was given this 1926 nickel many years ago by my uncle. He knew a lot about coins (I think) and he told me it was a far 6. I think it is but I'm really not sure. I've looked at a few articles showing the near and far coins but I still find it hard to see the difference. I'd appreciate input from anyone who knows about these coins - also interested in a rough idea of the value, but I realize that's not easy to determine from photos. The lighting made the colour look golden but the coin is the normal silver colour.

Is that Rev photo taken at exactly 90 degrees? It looks tilted.

I attempted to take it straight on but it was taken by hand so may not be exactly 90 degrees.

It looks like a Far 6 to me.
For value, check the eBay sold prices for one in comparable condition.
This is better than a catalogue as it gives the true value of what people are paying.

Congratulations EW, it is definitely a far 6.

I have a few of them.
