1964 Obverse die crack

Post by pmcoins » Thu May 09, 2024 10:17 am

This die crack is very slight but runs from the 4th leaf in her wreath to the bottom of her shoulder. Since it is so light, the break would disappear after some circulation. The coin in the picture is a MS-63-64Image

Since the "crack" is on top of all the design, it looks like a scratch, not a D/C. With all the other scratches and marks, as well as the wear on the hair ribbon and beaver joints, the coin is not MS. I'm not sure that it would even get an AU. Your coin is PMD, not a D/C.
