newbie in Canadian currency1870 widerim I think

looking for an educated opinion on this before I send in for grading, and want to know other opoinions about coin

I have heard from others, and it is my opinion, that a coin has to be worth (what a person would buy it at) over $100 to make it worthwhile to send it to a TPG. I think yours would be a "details" coin as well because of the Obverse. I think that it would grade between F-15 and VF-20 and "Trends" for less that $50. The cost for the average grading, plus shipping both ways would be about the Trends price. Just keep it as a nice 150+ year old coin.

I agree.
Nice coin but value is less than the cost of grading.
