1965 dime corrosion

Hey all, I'm wondering what is the best way to deal with this 1965 dime. I don't really want to clean it, but I also don't want to store with the rest of my (non-corroded) silver dimes... what does one do with such a corroded (but silver) dime?
... and since it's a junk coin anyway, should I clean it? I know it's a no-no for coins... but no one is going to put this in their collection, and if clean I could store with the rest of my silver...
What do you all think?

Acetone will remove some of the tacky stuff. The hard, brittle green stuff is another story. There will be pitting underneath it. Try to soak it in extra-virgin olive oil for a week or so and then do some gentile rubbing with a soft cloth. If it removes some, then continue doing that and hope that it's .800 Ag, not .500.

In my opinion. Do what ever you would like to do. I agree with not cleaning a coin if it is a true collectable coin but seeing your coin I would say it was probably taken from circulation. If so I would bet it has been in a pocket and that would mean it has already been rubbed by cloth. I can’t see how you can do much damage by rubbing it again
