Design?

Post by SurlyLung » Fri Oct 29, 2021 3:55 am

Hi;
I was wondering if this is or at what point it may be considered a “design” 1946 50¢ piece. It has the chip in the 6 and the die crack leading out but is not as prolific as the picture in the Coins and Canada listing. Also, if I could a grade, that would help.

It is not a Design, it is a Die Crack. It is not as prolific because it is at an earlier stage
then the photo in Coins and Canada. With each strike, the crack would slowly gets larger
until it got to the size as what is known as "Hoof through 6'
