Canada 50 Cents, 1871 variety?

This 1871 appears to exhibit defective letters. Images are supplied illustrating the losses and have not to my knowledge been shown previously. They may have been considered too minor to mention? I am possibly out of date and they have appeared elsewhere.

The anomalies below appear on the same subject coin:

The 'E' of 'REGINA' appears broken at the top of the upright with the upper crossbar tilted slightly upwards. It also appears absent the upper left serif.
The 'D' of 'CANADA' appears broken at the top and absent most of its upper left serif.
