hi been finding many matte finished toons lately 1996,2002,2004,2005,206 bur these two had core on the background as a reverse bear stamp anyone know if this was the process or error thnx

Pictures are a little out of focus but they could be a Die Strike.
Are the lines raised or Incuse?

incused i think rear of bear has visible raised lines and the ice and bear head seems recessed, just looks like a reverse bear stamp core perfectly around detail and under the queen

From what you tell me, it sounds like what you have is a Die CLASH (I mistakenly said Strike on my previous post)
on each of your Toonies. There might be a small premium for them to anyone that collects Die Clashes.

ok as a collector i only need one have many, i try to submit larger clearer pic to coinscanada as misc or something, thanx for your knowledge as i have much more to share

I really don't see what you are mentioning. The pics are too blurry. The coins are struck with the core already intact so a clash that is seen would be elsewhere on the coin as well, even maybe the lettering. But sometimes clashes are only evident on a small portion of a coin, but I see nothing.

hi Bill in Burl excuse my lack of technology , if i can share the newest pic i would its not allowing me but its a reverse bear die in the centre core only, you can see the ice the full bear front and back and island under the queen, for some reason i only found these on matte finishes , i can use all input thnx
