I am also wondering if such common coins are even worth extra or would just be traded for melt value.

Bill is probably right about the two coins, but rather then getting rid of the '65 as scrape silver try and find a young collector to give it or sell it to , its in very nice condition and would make a good starter coin for a new collector. I like the idea of getting the new generation started with just that kind of coin.

Thanks for the information everyone , I've got quite a few dollars in similar condition and I have just been stacking them for now. Silver is still low and I will continue buying as much as I can , I have been sure not to pay more than $13 per coin
