Hello Everyone,

I have been stacking quarters for a while and I have a few young Elizabeth coins that appear to be UNC or almost UNC.

Is there any extra value in these or were they made in such large quantities that these are just melt value coins ?

Just go to the Canadian coin section of this website ( bar at top of page) and you should be able to find value and minting numbers for all of those years. Good luck.

I have checked the values but people actually pay those premiums for such new circulation silver ?

Also I have no clue what actually counts as uncirculated , the only coin here that has no micro scratches is the bottom one.

They all appear uncirculated until you zoom in on them.

Do grading companies use a 10x zoom to determine mint state coins or are micro scratches considered okay for these grades ?

Also, don't believe the prices posted on websites, books or Trends. The ONLY way to find out what it MAY be worth is to look at the actual SOLD prices from an Ebay "advanced" search. Also, different TPG's have different definitions/grading specs for what is and isn't BU or UNC.

They're quite nice - decent frosty cameo on that second one. I don't collect that particular era but I'm sure there's someone out there who would be interested.
