1973 Dollar Bills, Sequential

Post by Sirkit » Sat Aug 07, 2021 6:39 pm

Hello!
I have 65 uncirculated one dollar bills and I'm wondering what their grading might be. I've attached images of a sample bill, they are all in the same condition. One guy mentioned that they might count as "date bills" so for the set that is in that range I have BFF8211963-BF8211977.

They are also in two sets, that sequence and then another sequence of 50 if that matters.

In terms of feel, they are stiff, have been bagged, and stored in the dark since they were purchased from the bank.

Anyway here is the bills.

Welcome to the Forum
It is hard to grade currency from a photo as things like texture and ink play a part in grading.
all I can say is that they are uncirculated. I take it what you call "Date Bills" are birthday notes
which are not much interest to anyone unless it is their birthday. There is no premium for
consecutive numbers on modern bills. If you were trying to sell them, you might get a couple
of dollars each if you sold them individually. The problem is trying to sell them as there were
almost 3 Billion printed and many people have hoarded bundles just like you have so there is no
shortage of them in uncirculated condition.

I agree coinguy. Nevertheless, I love the multi-coloured series of 1969 - 1975. I grew up with that series. Not worth a lot of $$ in this case, but still pretty cool. Keep collecting Sirkit. You will knock one out the ballpark one day....
