Canadian Coin Collection For Sale

Post by ddittmer » Wed Sep 08, 2021 8:43 pm

I have many Canadian coins and old bills that I would like to sell. Some value coins, like a 1925 nickel, both near and far 6 1926 nickels and many silver coins - dimes, quarters, half dollars and dollars.
I also have some American silver coins, bills ($2 bill).
What is the best way to get this appraised for value and then subsequent sale ?
I am not desperate for cash - I just want to sell them, as my children have no interest.
Thank you for your valued input.

Where are you located? Do you have access to a major city? Before you begin this evolution, I would suggest that you pick up a Charltons or Haxby/Wiley guide so that you know which items are worth a nice premium, but DO NOT believe in the prices in books/guides. There are a few coin sites that offer buy/sell sections of the site once you have enough posts made.

Burlington Ontario ---- judging by your handle "Bill in Burl" sounds like you might be from Burlington as well.
I already have the books and have been going through them -- have a fairly good idea of value.
Thank you.
