Post by rygy » Tue Apr 12, 2022 12:18 pm

Hi, just wondering coloring-grading this coin would fall under? I have searched the grading section and nothing looks the same. Sorry if this has been discussed before but Im new and a noob and not sure where to look. Any help would be apricated. Thank you.

Your coin is ungradable because of whatever got on the coin. Your coin shows good signs of some wear, based on the leaf tips and crown. Wearwise, I'd say VF-30 or so, but it was soaked or scrubbed with something very caustic that completely bleached out the normal color. Keep it as an oddity, but not much more.

I agree with Bill.
It is just a damaged coin now and as it has one of the
highest mintages in that series, there is little value to it.

You are correct a 1933 - I think we skipped by a possible typo and got on with it.
