Hi Canada!
I recently visited Canada to conclude an estate for a deceased relative.
I am not familiar with Canadian currencies at all but when clearing out a safety deposit box I found a Canadian $1 in there. It was the only item in the box so that struck me as strange that it would be the only item in there.
From my initial research I didn't see any particular value and it might have just had sentimental value but would really like a second option just in case.
It would be great if you could take a look and let me know if you notice anything unusual.
Thanks in advance!

Re: bank note found in estate safe
There is nothing special about either the prefix or number and seeing that there was over 1 Billion
produced in that series, it is only worth a Dollar. Don't really know what the significance in keeping it would be.
Keep it as a keepsake because you can only cash them in at a bank.

Yep a pretty well used Dollar, probably the reason it was saved is the same as thousands like it . Canadas last paper one dollar note.
