I recently came into possession of a Five Dollar Canadian Bank Note issued in 1954 that has a serial number beginning with the prefix O/X (I don't believe that this Note is part of the 'devil' series, but I am not sure) ... I have not been able to locate any information on a Note with such a prefix, so any insights or wisdom would be most appreciated ...

Just go to the home page of this web site click on bank notes and you should get a spot to enter the prefix and serial number of your note, Hope that helps
