Newbie Questions

Post by NDuff77 » Sun Feb 21, 2021 9:16 pm

Hello, thanks for the add. I have a small collection of old bills, and I have a couple questions.

1 - Are they no longer legal tender? ( if I went to the bank would they give me face value or are they no longer accepting them ? )

2 - I have 3 Centennial of Canadian confederation 1 dollar bills that have no serial numbers. They only say 1867 1967 Why is there no serial numbers on them?

Thanks :D

In honour of the 100th anniversary of Confederation, a modified version of the 1954 $1 note was issued, bearing the date 1967.
Millions of them were made. worth $2 since they aren't rare at all unless GEM condition and certified

And you'll always be able to redeem their face value at Bank of Canada
