Maybe a war savings certificate or bond?

A very nice note.

I wonder if it could possibly be Military script or some other government special branch or institution release.

I say this because it says "Will pay to the bearer at any branch in Canada of any Chartered Bank"

Very interesting that it is for .88 cents.

Where did you find it?

Where do you live? Is there a Military Museum or Legion near you.

Why not email a copy to the RCM.

Put it in a plastic sleeve and protect it. Once again very nice.

It's an interest coupon from a war bond or other government issued bond.
The signature is W.C. Clark, Deputy Minister of Finance.
His appointment began in 1932 so the bond was issued sometime between then and the date on the coupon.
RCM will be of no help, it's not a coin.
Try the Bank Of Canada for information as I believe they were responsible for issuing war bonds.
