It's not a "double or doubled die". It's the result of die deterioration doubling from the die wearing out. It's not a variety or an error and adds no value to the coin.

Although not a true variety or error, These "double date" 78-79 cents do hold value to some who collect such things, but even to those who do collect them they are not worth much until you get into the MS grades. I personally keep tubes of these in AU/MS. I like them. It's fun to find a full "double" date, and not just a single number.
