Is there any way we can prevent advertising from taking up half of my mobile screen with no way of removing them?

I understand that ads help fund the website but with ads like that it makes the website useless on a mobile device.

On my desktop, I never get ads. Maybe only the folks with cell phones and laptops. Load in a security program into whatever system that you use that gets rid of pop-ups and ads.
