Hi Forum,
I have a $5, $10, $20 and $100 1937 Bank notes. Attached are photos of the notes. With the CAD banks no longer taking any paper notes after today, I will be cashing them in notes are not worth more than face value. Can someone advise if any value above face value for these?

Not sure what you mean, these notes are all still legal notes , not all paper money as lost legal tender status.
you can take them to a bank and deposit them in your account or trade for modern notes. with the writing on some of the notes and poor condition the value over face is not great but some start up new collector would be happy I'm sure to have them. If you are wanting to get rid of them i hope you can find a new owner as they will be destroyed if turned in to the banks . you can check out value by seeing what they are selling for on e-bay, just be sure you are comparing your notes to notes of equal condition, and signatures, and serial number prefixes.

Thanks for feedback. We cashed them in today for face value. The banks in Canada will no longer accept old notes after today. TD Bank confirmed it. If not traded and of value, you will most likely not be able to cash them in at any financial institutions.

I'm easily confused but I think the bank notes you showed us are still legal tender, they could be used any where to make a purchase.
Lots of places may not want to except them but by the law of the land could be made to.
Sad that they were turned over to bank and unless a bank employee gets them into the right hands they will be destroyed .

GBELEC you are bang on. It's too bad there is a lot of mis-information, many times coming from bank employees.
