Description

Lumsden's Mill was a sawmill built by Alex Lumsden. He was a timber merchant of Ottawa began logging at Lake Kipawa around 1880. He established the Lumsden Steamboat Line Ltd. and was the owner of all vessels and goods drave sailing on Lake Témiscamingue. He died in 1905 and John, his son, continues the activities of the company. In 1917, John Lumsden sold all the land he owns to Riordon Pulp & Co.
